CRB:
All CRB Tour attendees are invited to a Happy Hour on Wednesday 4/22 at 4:00 PM
Tuesday April 21 @ 11:00 AM
*These two tours will run simultaneously
Tour 1: Advancing Lyophilization
This presentation will explore how the future of lyophilization is being shaped by integrated facility design, advanced process analytics and sustainability-driven innovations that enable compliant, efficient and future-ready freeze-drying operations.
Tour 2: Continuous Manufacturing in OSD
This presentation will explore how organizations can evaluate continuous processing strategies for small-molecule products, from targeted unit operations to full end-to-end implementation. Examples will focus on oral solid dosage (OSD) manufacturing, with concepts applicable to active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) processes.
Wednesday April 22 @ 11:00 AM
*These two tours will run simultaneously
Tour 3: Safety First in Spray Drying and Powder Handling
This session will explore safety-driven approaches to spray drying and powder handling, with a focus on system design and operational practices for combustible dust and highly potent materials that protect operators, facilities, and most importantly patient safety.
Tour 4: Operator Protection in ADC Production
This presentation will explore a multi-layered approach to operator protection in antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) manufacturing, with a focus on managing highly potent compounds in complex production environments. Topics will include the use of robotics, physical barriers, and facility design strategies to enable safe operation within multi-product facilities.
PDA:
Tuesday April 21 @ 3:00 PM
*These three tours will run simultaneously, followed by a Happy Hour at the PDA booth
Tour 1: RABS and Isolators
Based on PDA Points to Consider for Restricted Access Barrier Systems and Points to Consider for the Aseptic Processing of Sterile Pharmaceutical Products in Isolators. This tour will provide practical insights into the design, installation, and operation of barrier technology, specifically isolators. Participants will learn some basics about isolator design, operational requirements, cleaning and decontamination methods, and validation of isolators.
Tour 2: Environmental Monitoring Sampling
Based on PDA Technical Report 13, this tour will review the methods for environmental monitoring sample systems used to utilized to evaluate the effect of controls on the manufacturing environment.
Tour 3: Cleanroom Cleaning and Disinfection
Based on PDA Technical Report No. 70 (TR70): Fundamentals of Cleaning and Disinfection Programs for Aseptic Manufacturing Facilities provides insight into current industry trends and regulatory expectations concerning cleaning and disinfection of an aseptic facility.
