INTERPHEX And ISPE Renew Partnership For 2011 Event


(NORWALK, Conn., December 6, 2010) – The organizers of INTERPHEX and leaders of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) have announced the renewal of their  partnership for INTERPHEX 2011, which will be held at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on March 29 – 31, 2011.  This marks ISPE’s 14th year as the major sponsor of INTERPHEX, which is North America’s largest education and exhibit event for the pharmaceutical and biologic manufacturing industry.

At the event ISPE and INTERPHEX will join with Pharmaceutical Processing magazine to showcase category winners of the seventh annual Facility of the Year Award (FOYA) program, the premier global awards program recognizing innovation and creativity in manufacturing facilities serving the regulated healthcare industry. FOYA categories include Equipment Innovation, Facility Integration, Operational Excellence, Project Execution, Process Innovation, and Sustainability.

Representatives from the winning companies and their participating design, architect, engineering and construction management resources will be at INTERPHEX to meet with attendees and exhibitors, and award recipients will be honored at the event’s Leadership Dinner. This is the only joint appearance they will make other than the ISPE Annual Meeting in November 2011, when one of the category winners will be named Overall Winner.

The FOYA winners center will be featured in the Facilities Zone, one of four exhibit Zones launched in 2010 to increase sourcing convenience. The other Zones are Sourcing & Services, Automation: Systems & Controls and Manufacturing & Packaging.

“The relationship between ISPE and INTERPHEX continues to be a true partnership, where we work together each year on ways to enrich the event experience,” said Bob Stewart, INTERPHEX Industry Vice President. This has included a greater involvement by ISPE Chapters, who in 2010 hosted hotel-event shuttle transportation, which will be continued in 2011. ISPE will also continue to host a member lounge, and a display on the show floor where non-members can learn about the benefits of ISPE membership and details of affiliates and chapters in their area.
