Quadro Liquids Processing
The Quadro® HV Emulsifier & Wet Mill is the next generation in high shear rotor/stator mixing technology, designed for sub-micron emulsifying in a single-pass, and capable of wet milling some active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) to the ~10-20 micron range. Operating at extremely high rotational velocity, tooling tip speeds of up to 70m/s are achieved, providing more than fifty-five (55) times the shear energy input compared with conventional rotor-stator systems. This performance envelope fills the gap between existing rotor/stator technologies and high pressure homogenizers. It is available in three (3) models with unmatched scalability from lab through pilot, to production volumes.

The Quadro Ytron® ZC Powder Disperser is a purpose-built inline powder disperser developed around a simple rotor/stator concept designed to provide the best dispersion quality at the highest single-pass powder concentrations in the industry. It is particularly strong in cream and lotion applications, using difficult-to-wet rheology modifiers, such as Carbopol®, Polygel®, Pemulen® , Cellulose Gums, and Xanthan Gum, etc. A variety of tooling packages extends the functionality to provide a flexible platform that can handle a broad range of powder incorporation applications with consistency and reliability.

Matcon solutions provide Lean handling of powders, granules and tablets from dispensing through to primary packing, linking all the processing steps together by transporting product in IBCs. This approach also includes product blending within the IBC. The Tablet IBC, with a Spiral Inlet, is of polyethylene construction which reduces the risk of tablet breakage and marking. The spiral inlet decelerates the speed of the tablets as they are loaded into the IBC, this ensures the tablets are filled gently and do not break or chip. The Cone Valve in the outlet gently lifts to empty the tablets into the process. It lifts without trapping or compressing the tablets. The combination of these features enables larger quantities of tablets, up to 650kg, to be handled in a single Tablet IBC without damage. The Tablet IBC is designed to minimize tablet acceleration, drop height and tablet impact.
