Brian H. Lange, P. E.

Director – Strategy & Behavior Realization, Global Vaccine Manufacturing & West Point Operations, Merck & Co., Inc. 

Brian joined Merck in 1988 as a Facility Engineer in MSDRL Engineering in Rahway, N.J., supporting facilities and utilities in Basic Research.  In 1993, he transitioned to West Point as a Project Engineer supporting the significant facility growth that occurred within Research primarily in Safety Assessment, PR&D and Clinical Manufacturing.  In 1997, he joined MMD Sterile Operations as the Manager of Liquid Filling and over the past ten years, Brian has held positions of increasing responsibility within Sterile and Packaging Operations including Lyo and Packaging Operations and Mechanical Services.   Just prior to his current role, Brian was Director, Sterile and Packaging Operations Engineering, with responsibility for compliant facility and utility operations in support of all Vaccine and Sterile Operations areas in West Point.

Brian holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University, is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a Past Chairman of Board of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers.
