Sani-Matic and NJM Packaging To Feature Cutting Edge Technologies at INTERPHEX

NEW YORK, NY; March 17, 2015 – International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), sponsored by Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), the premier industry event dedicated to showcasing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical innovation, technology and knowledge today announced that both Sani-Matic, a leading cleaning process solutions provider, and NJM Packaging, offering packaging machines, solid dose solutions and expertise in labeling, will be exhibiting more technologies at INTERPHEX 2015, April 21-23, at the Javits Center in New York.

“Sani-Matic and NJM Packaging are both bringing more of their best-in-class technologies to INTERPHEX 2015,” said Ed Several, Senior Vice President and General Manager, INTERPHEX. “This year’s show promises to deliver the most technology on the show floor; with industry leaders like Sani-Matic and NJM Packaging, key decision makers have access to high-end equipment and technologies from leading companies with a long tradition of delivering superior value and outstanding service.”

Sani-Matic IPXSani-Matic will feature the UltraFlow 45 portable CIP system at booth 2032.

“INTERPHEX is a great place to showcase our expertise in sanitary process cleaning,” said Chris McNulty, Pharmaceutical/Biotech Sales Manager, Sani-Matic. “We look forward to meeting with attendees to demonstrate the benefits of the UltraFlow 45. The system is designed for critical cleaning and supplies a wide range of CIP flow rates and pressures, while meeting cGMP and ASME-BPE standards. Cleaning is vital in the production process and having a dependable, repeatable cleaning system specific to an application is why people come to Sani-Matic.”

The patented UltraFlow 45 is a self-contained, portable and compact Clean-In-Place (CIP) System designed specifically for pharmaceutical plants with limited floor space, limited water and drain utilities, and for plants without permanent supply and return lines.

The system is capable of cleaning process tanks with diameters up to 4.5 feet and process lines with diameters up to 2 inches using a CIP flow rate of 2 to 45 GPM at 55psi.  Its low-friction casters allow operators to easily move the unit between process suites. The UltraFlow 45 also returns solutions with entrained air to accommodate vessels with low and restricted outlets.

The high-turbulence flow self-cleans the unit as it progresses through the cycle, and removes solution buildup in the surge tank.  Because the system requires only six gallons of water for its supply tank to maintain proper head pressure, it reduces water and chemical use.

NJM Packaging IPX“NJM is proud to celebrate our 100th Anniversary! At NJM, we’re focused on delivering superior value to our customers by exceeding expectations with high-end equipment and the best service in the industry,” said Michel Lapierre, President of NJM Packaging. “INTERPHEX is a great place to showcase our best-in-class technologies and “total solution” approach that includes full validation support and turnkey line integration services to seamlessly combine best-in-class technologies.”

This year, NJM Packaging will be featuring the following equipment within their booth, number 2353.

Model Cremer CFS-622 Tablet Counter with Optel Vision’s Tablet Inspection System
Model CFS-622 accommodates up to four modules, depending on the required output. Because of its small footprint it can be seamlessly integrated into any new or existing bottle packaging line. With only a few change parts, the CFS is able to count almost any kind of tablet or capsule and fill almost any kind of plastic or glass bottle; round, oval or rectangular. Its compliant design allows quick and easy cleaning while the fully transparent enclosure allows good accessibility and guarantees complete operating safety. Offers an optional vision system to detect rogue and broken tablets.

Model TE-20 Tablet Elevator
The TE-20 Tablet Elevator improves worker ergonomics by allowing an operator to fill the tablet hopper at a comfortable height. The elevator then lifts a bucket to feed a tablet counter or blister machine. A patent-pending stepper-driven rotary gate feeder transfers product from the hopper to a small bucket via a chute with sieve holes and a vacuum system that collects dust and chips, which is especially important for uncoated tablets. The elevating bucket offers speeds of two cycles per minute and handles 24,000 tablets per minute within a compact footprint.

Dara Liquid Filling Machines
Partnering with Dara Pharmaceutical Packaging, NJM offers innovative liquid fill machines and closing solutions specifically designed to handle the special needs of vials, syringes, ophthalmic and nasal sprays, and ROPP caps.

Model 402 FINALTOUCH™ Print and Apply InMotion Corner Wrap Labeler
The FINALTOUCH™ Print & Apply Labeler achieves vertical and horizontal labeling of cases, cartons and bags at speeds up to 60 per minute. The 402 reduces maintenance and eases installation while maximizing production versatility and minimizing the total cost of ownership. With a variety of application tools, it applies side labels, corner wrap labels and top labels using either a tamp-on or wipe-on applicator. It complies with serialization track-and-trace initiatives.

Model 126 TROTTER with Labeler for Vials, including Optel Vision’s Inspection System
This servo motor driven pressure sensitive labeler handles a wide range of containers and label applications at speeds of up to 150 cpm. A simple control panel makes it easy to set up and operate. Features include a stainless steel open frame design, PLC controls, label registration sensor, touch screen HMI controls, and tool-less changeovers for quick format changes.

Pharmaceutical Line Clearance Conveyors
The conveyor features a raised bed design, stainless steel construction, and a 4 ½” Delrin table top chain, available in various lengths. AC conveyor controls are also available.
